NOSORH Leadership Masterclass

NOSORH, in partnership with Stroudwater, invites you to register for the NOSORH Leadership Masterclass! This masterclass empowers rural healthcare leaders with essential skills to navigate challenges, foster collaboration, and drive positive organizational change. Through five engaging sessions, including an interactive Office Hours session, participants will explore key leadership topics such as decision-making, emotional intelligence, transformational leadership, and building a positive organizational culture. Expert presenters will provide practical strategies tailored to rural healthcare settings, incorporating real-world case studies and discussions. By the end of the program, participants will have the insights needed to lead with clarity, foster strong relationships, and cultivate a resilient, purpose-driven workplace culture.
Who Should Attend?
State Office of Rural Health (SORH) staff and other interested rural leaders.

1-hour virtual sessions (synchronous and recorded).
Schedule
The five-session Masterclass runs from July 1 to July 29, 2025. Virtual learning sessions will occur on Tuesdays from 2:00 to 3:00 PM ET.

+ Session 1: Decision-Making & Collaboration
July 1 at 2 PM ET

This session explores the role of emotional intelligence in managing conflict effectively, emphasizing self-awareness, self-regulation, and motivation. Participants will learn to distinguish between healthy and harmful conflict while gaining effective communication, problem-solving, and mediation strategies. By examining real-world applications, attendees will develop practical skills to foster collaboration within teams and resolve disputes constructively.

Through case studies and real-world examples, attendees will gain insights into transformational leadership in action across various fields. The session will also paint a clear picture of what a transformational leader looks like, highlighting the key traits and behaviors that set them apart.

The session will illuminate the key perspectives, norms and fortitudes that distinguish impactful leaders. Attendees will also explore their own role in influential and forward-facing leadership.

Designed as an open forum, this session reinforces learning, fosters meaningful dialogue, and offers additional insights to help participants confidently apply the strategies learned from the Masterclass.
